Blue Blazer Working on Cocktails for Marcie Turney's New Restaurant

Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran are getting closer to opening Little Nonna’s (the “Italian grandma’s living room” of a restaurant coming to 13th and Locust), and one of the unique touches is a beverage program featuring a mason jar negroni and bottled cocktails. Those drinks were designed in part - curated, if you will - by Blue Blazer Consulting, a new firm from a trio of Philly ex-bartenders.

Principal Daniel Eng was most recently assistant general manager at Lemon Hill, which - as to be expected from a Franklin Mortgage venture - has an exciting drink list. He’s teamed with two former well-versed Village Whiskey ‘tenders to form this new consulting outfit. In our piece on hot cocktail trends in Philly, we mentioned it would be out of place for a new restaurant to open without a great cocktail program.
