Big Apple restaurants continue to roll out their outdoor seating areas, with one of the city's largest alfresco cafes getting up and running last weekend. The Summer Garden and Bar is now open in the sunken plaza that plays host to Rockefeller Center's famed ice skating rink during the winter months. There were a few tweaks this year, including more foliage and landscaping to really sell the patio's garden feel.
The menu features summery American fare while the cocktails are heavy on the fresh herbs and fruit and the draft selection includes a few pours from local NYC breweries. The garden will be open through fall, get menus and more info here.
