Adour to Close May 31 - Decanter to Replace It

Adour, famed chef Alain Ducasse’s epicurean French-American in the St. Regis Hotel,will close on May 31, reports the Washington Post. A new Mediterranean-minded, wine-centric venue, Decanter, will replace it in late June. Although Ducasse will not be involved in the new restaurant, the chef, Sebastien Rondier, who has been working with him for many years at Adour DC and NYC, will remain in charge of the kitchen.

Ducasse is one of several celebrity chefs who have stopped working with DC venues recently. Eric Ripart left the Ritz Carlton’s West End Bistro last year, and Susur Lee announced his departure from Zentan at the Donovan House Hotel earlier this spring.
