62 Restaurant Offers Tuesday Tastings Focused on Wine, Fun, Food

62 Restaurant & Wine Bar in Salem
62 Restaurant & Wine Bar is kicking off a Tuesday Tastings series tonight, May 28, which is scheduled to go monthly through October. The tastings include a sample of four different wines paired with four different small plates created by chef Antonio Bettencourt. We’ll give you just a few teasers, including tonight’s focus, “What’s the 411?” a basic rundown on tasting wine and getting to know the basic varietals (you know them: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.). It’s an ideal setup to meet friends, learn about wines and just relax. Oh, and it's pretty darn affordable (6 PM; $25 per person not including tip or tax; 978-744-0062).

If you're not available tonight, the next one is on June 11, with a “Pretty in Pink” theme. The focus will be on breaking the stigma of pink wine and setting the new rules for rosé, including how real men drink pink, too. On July 16, it’s “Summertime Wines” with grilling and red wines, picnic whites and sangria. More to come!
