The Box Office: Lunch at Hemingway's and Cigars With Chefs

Get 'em while they're hot! These are the most coveted tickets to Chicago's upcoming food and drink events.

Hemingway Luncheon
Did you miss the boat on Baconfest Tickets? It’s OK there are other things happening on April 20 (not what you are thinking). Enjoy a meal at Ernest Hemingway’s Oak Park home. The event includes a tour and three course lunch of pork tenderloin or French crepes as well as wine. Tickets cost $85 or $75 for Chicago Gourmets! members.

Chicken & Beer
Hot chicken and cold beer - what can be better? If that chicken is made by the folks from Honey Butter Friend Chicken and served in the Half Acre Tap Room. Dreams become reality on April 22. There are two seatings (6 or 8:30 PM) for the meal that includes a fried chicken sandwich, sweet potatoes, a chocolate toffee cookie and two pints of beer. Tickets cost $30.

Greek Isles
Yesterday, we presented you with the five best Greek restaurants in Chicago. On April 22, the National Hellenic Museum presents a night of Grecian art, cuisine and wine at Greek Islands. The evening includes traditional Greek dishes such as mousaka and kapama. Tickets cost $79 or $69 for Chicago Gourmets! members.

This is a BBQ fr the cigar-puffing, whiskey-slinging BBQ men of Chicago. Also knows as the hosts of CigarBQue Rick Gresh (David Burke's Primehouse), Giuseppe Tentori (GT Fish & Oyster) and Cleetus Friedman (Fountainhead). They welcome chef friends and guests to enjoy the Chicago the great outdoor in a cloud of cigar smoke. Tickets cost $150 for the June 21 event benefiting the Cigar Family Charity Foundation.
