|Grilled octopus at Amis|
Brad Spence is slowing revamping the menu at the Wash West trattoria, rolling out changes over the next three weeks. Today is the launch of a half-dozen new antipasti dishes, which will be followed by pastas and then entrees and desserts. We’re looking forward to sampling the clam crudo with beets and horseradish, and also the fried lamb ribs are calling to us. Check out the entire list below (215-732-2347).
Fittingly, beer is what’s getting a refresh at the North Broad birreria. "Saisonale" will take place from April 8-14, during which time more than half the 20 taps will be swapped out for new selections. Brews to look forward to include farmhouse ales like Dock Street Smoked Saison and Victory Swing Session, plus other spring sippers. Full listing below (215-600-0017).
Just up the street on North Broad, Jeff Michaud has already launched his new menu items in all categories. Try a cipollotto pizza (spring onions, stracciatella, thyme), artichokes alla giudia, dandelion greens salad or chestnut-stuffed pork loin, among other seasonal plates (215-763-0920).
