SoHo Alfresco: Pera Will Have Rooftop Brunch, David Burke Kitchen Reopening Garden

More alfresco spaces are launching around town, and we're happy to write about them as we stare longingly out the window and scheme to sneak out early. Pera Soho has a small rooftop space that they'e used for private parties in the past, and this year they're going to host a rooftop brunch buffet on Saturdays and Sundays for those who want to scarf their French Toast against a backdrop of The Freedom Tower and Empire State Building. The rooftop will also be available for parties of six or more that want to have cocktails on Thursday-Saturday evenings. The opening date is May 4 (212-878-6305).

Right down the block is The James Hotel, and that property's restaurant David Burke Kitchen is also slated to reopen its garden space next week. This large outdoor space is pretty secluded from the streets below, there are semi-private cabanas for dining and this year there will be an art installation created by Brooklyn-based artist Molly Dilworth. A good time to drop by is on Sundays throughout the summer when the outdoor venue will host its annual "swine & wine” dinner for $39 per person."
