Ride Bumper Cars and Go Skydiving...on a Cruise Ship

These days a fruity cocktail and a top-deck pool just don't cut it. Cruisers on the upcoming Quantum of the Seas will be able to ride bumper cars, fly on a trapeze and do a simulated skydive. Royal Caribbean last week unveiled plans for the new ship, which is set to launch in November 2014. The most impressive feature? The North Star, an observation capsule suspended from a crane-like arm that will float guests 300 feet above the ocean. The new ship will also include a dancefloor-cum-roller rink with a floating, see-through DJ pod and a club with 270-degree views that will play host to Cirque de Soleil-style aerialists. Which of these over-the-top features most float your boat?

  1. Love the dancefloor idea, but the observation pod takes the cake. What are they going to do next, let you bungee jump from it?!?
