Oyster and Beer Fest at Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House

Dave Magrogan is kicking off a six-week festival featuring the killer combo of oysters and beer. It starts with an outdoor shindig this Sunday at both the University City and West Chester outposts of Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House. The patio parties will feature 15 different varieties of freshly-shucked oysters and a roster of 10 unique craft beers.

Reserve a spot online to get in on the noon-4 PM event - there are a few advance tickets still available. In UCity, it’s $20 in advance (here) for all oysters and beer you can handle, with other mollusk dishes available (think fried oyster sliders, oyster shooters, oyster fritters, etc.). In the suburbs, your $40 in advance (here) is all-inclusive, covering the raw bar, the beer and the hot food.

The fest continues through June 1 with a daily 5-7 PM buck-a-shuck happy hour, and a special à la carte menu of oyster eats from chef Karen Weinstein. Check it out, below.
