Outside Lands Tickets Go On Sale This Thursday, Lineup Announced

Outside Lands and its foodie fare returns to GG Park.
We’ve barely started plotting our spring dining out agenda, but it looks like we better think about our summer plans as well. Outside Lands, the annual outdoor summer music in Golden Gate Park, which bills itself as the “world’s only gourmet music festival”, has announced its lineup and tickets for the event, which will be held August 9-11, will go on sale this Friday April 18 at noon PDT. Music lovers will no doubt be delighted to see their favorite bands, both legends and newly emerging talents (check out the complete musical lineup here), but the stellar collection of food and drink vendors at last year’s event were so impressive it prompted Rolling Stone to report that the “food and wine are half the fun.”

Organizers assure us that they’ll be bringing back the popular Beer Lands, which showcases over 30 California craft brews, and Outside Lambs, a food stall devoted to all things lamb, and promise to expand the epicurean options even more in 2013. We'll have to wait a little bit longer to learn what foodie plans they have up their sleeves. In the meantime, do mark your calendar: the limited supply of Eager Beaver three-day packages are already sold out (Tickets range from $235 for advanced three-day tickets to $545 for a three-day VIP pass, get details here).
