Friday is opening day for The Cafe at Wyebrook Farm, Dean Carlson’s outdoor picnic-table-outfitted eatery at his Chester County homestead. It’s The Cafe’s second season, and this year Carlson brought in big guns Josh Lawler (The Farm and Fisherman) and Jonathan Adams (Rival Bros. Coffee) to help design the menu.

Order through the barn window and pick from cheese plates, salads, BBQ pork sliders, chorizo tacos, sausage sandwiches and other bites. For the most part, everything’s made with produce and meat from the pastoral pastures on which you gaze as you lunch. After your meal, make a stop at the farm market, set on the barn’s top floor, to pick up ultrafresh, sustainable groceries to take home. The Cafe is open 2-6 PM,Friday and 11 AM-6 PM, Saturday-Sunday (610-942-7481).
