Luke’s Lobster is coming to Rittenhouse. An opening date of Thursday, May 16 has been set for the seafood shack, which already has a cult following in NYC and DC. It’s getting ready to roll in the former Bonte waffle house, below ground at 130 South 17th Street.
Of course you can expect lobster rolls, priced around $15 and made with nothing but sustainably sourced Maine lobster save for a “tiny swipe of mayo in the bun” and a dash of lemon butter on top. The shop will also sell crab rolls, shrimp rolls and several chowders. Make your sandwich into a combo for $2 more, which bring a Maine Root soda and a bag of kettle-cooked potato chips. Summer lunches are looking up.
