And who won? Chef Todd Duplechan took home both the best restaurant category for his South First locale, Lenoir, and best chef award (we joked with the chef that if he won, we’d have to change the name of our blog, at least for this week, to the Todd Duplechan blog; let's hope he doesn't hold us to that).
Laura Sawicki from La Condesa and Sway won best pastry chef. And on the libation side, Mark Sayre from Trio won best sommelier/beverage director, Jester King won best brewery and Tacy Rowland from Drink.Well won best craft bartender. Last but not least, the winner of the new restaurant challenge was Epicerie Café and Grocery, on North Loop.
