Le Bernardin (besides NYC's best cuisine, that is) and today NY Post writer Steve Cuozzo breaks the story that the restaurant is indeed expanding. The team behind Le Bern will take over the nearby restaurant space that used to house Piano Due. The new establishment will be broken down into two separate spaces.
The first floor will be a new vino den dubbed The Aldo Sohm Wine Bar, after the restaurant's renowned wine director, and the second floor of the space will be devoted to private dining, gaining the name Bernardin Privé. The opening is slated for early next year.
