LAX Flight Status Boards Broadcast Non-Existent Emergency

Multiple flight status boards last night at Los Angeles International Airport were changed to read "Emergency Leave the Terminal," the Los Angeles Times reports. Officials originally thought that it was the work of a hacker and searched the terminal for suspects. The message ran for approximately five minutes after workers and passengers alerted airport police to the signs.  LAX officials later discovered that an airline contract worker had accidentally activated the emergency message.  Officials say they're continuing to investigate the system to prevent future accidents.
