Last week debate raged over the cupcake trend after news came that sales are down at Crumbs. Well, you can move Princeton-based House of Cupcakes into the "who cares?" column because the NJ bakery just opened its second sweet shop. The new location is in the West Village, and the chain is apparently undaunted by reports of a bear market in the land of red velvet. Two locations are trumpeted as "coming soon" - one in The Garden State and the other in the Bronx. The latest addition to the not-doomed-yet cupcake scene can be found at 101 Seventh Ave. S (212-255-7012).
