Heirloom LA's Salon Opens to the Public, Pop-Up Dinners Begin

Matt Poley and Tara Maxey from Heirloom LA (yes, the lasagna cupcake people) will finally debut pop-up dinners at The Salon, their private Eagle Rock dining room. There have been many fantastic dinners at The Salon already, casual friendly dinner parties that start in the back near overflowing garden boxes and move seamlessly to a comfy little dining room where Poley cooks from the center of a custom-made round table. The evenings feel part pop-up and part underground supper club, with fresh artisanal food made from ingredients they grow right on the property. And this time they'll be serving their own house red and white wines, the newly released Heirloom LA Scarlet and Bianca.

The first dinners at The Salon take place on May 9 and 10 and include hors d'oeuvres and a four-course menu, dishes like grapefruit and clementine salad with smokey passionfruit vinaigrette; chopped charred rapini and buratta raviolis with grated Lily's Farms eggs; lamb leg roast with beet juice ricotta cavatelli, or duo of pork with house-cured coppa and shoulder pastrami; and white chocolate cake with strawberry sorbet. The garden party starts at 7 PM, with dinner promptly at 7:30. Cost is $75 per person. Pre-paid reservations can be made by calling 855-456-6652 or by emailing thesalon@heirloomla.com.
