Heidi's Pies Expands Further in Bay Area Farmers Markets

For 43 years, Heidi's Pies Restaurant in San Mateo has been a dessert institution, operating on an inviting 24 hours a day, 365 days a year schedule. Since late 2012, the company has been making the acquisition of pie much easier, hitting the road and setting up tents at an increasing number of Bay Area farmers markets. Heidi's can now be found in San Francisco on Sundays at the Heart of The City Farmers Market in Civic Center as well as the Inner Sunset Farmers Market on Ninth Avenue.
Of course, the hours are limited compared to the headquarters on the Peninsula, but one advantage of patronizing Heidi's on the road is that customers are welcome to sample any flavor of pie. There are also savory pot pies and quiches to consider. Not in San Francisco? Not to worry; look for Heidi's at farmers markets in Belmont, San Carlos, Fremont and San Ramon.
