Popcorn and a Movie from Swift's Attic's Callie Speers
Go Austin! Food & Wine has announced the nominations for the people’s best new pastry chef, and four chefs in our city made the list.

Jodi Elliott from Foreign & Domestic’s “quintessential dessert” is a “brown butter blondie sundae with dried cherries and toffee chip ice cream.” Punk-rock Kyle McKinney from Barley Swine’s dessert is a “barley-steeped panno cotta with Texas berries and sweetened barley crumbles.” Callie Speer from Swift Attic’s dessert is Popcorn and a Movie: “buttered-popcorn ice cream, mini candy bars, caramelized popcorn and root beer gel.” And Erica Waksmunski from Congress’ “quintessential” dessert is “lime-basil sorbet with yogurt mousse and Asian pear.”

Vote today through April 8 for your favorite chef.
