If drinking too much cheap tequila and eating nachos with bright-orange cheese isn't your idea of celebrating Cinco de Mayo, consider the seventh annual Flavors of LA. The benefit for the American Liver Foundation once again returns to the Loews Hotel in Santa Monica on May 5, gathering a dozen of the city's best chefs, including Nyesha Arrington (Wilshire), Mirko Paderno (Oliverio) and Anthony Zappola (The Royce Steakhouse), to cook a five-course menu for you at your table. The cocktail reception includes bubbly, drinks and oysters from the Oyster Gourmet. Cocktails start at 5:30 PM, dinner at 7 PM. Tickets are $275 per person.
