Drink Craft Brews at New Atwater Village Fest This Weekend

Every neighborhood should welcome the spring months with a beer-soaked festival. This weekend (Sunday, April 28) head to the inaugural Atwater Village Beer, Wine & Food Festival, taking place in the parking lot in front of 55 Degree Wine and Link N Hops (also co-hosting the affair). There will be a beer garden with more than a dozen craft brews poured - Angel City, Golden Road, New Belgium, Stone, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada among them - plus various red and white wines. And look for six or so food trucks lining Glendale Boulevard near the shops, including Sam Choy's Pineapple Express and Coolhaus, but you can always get a sausage or two inside, or head up the street for Cuban food, tacos, Proof Bakery, Canele and more. For entertainment, the DJ for the Black Eyed Peas will be spinning.

The event runs from 1-6 PM. All pre-sale tickets have sold out, but you can buy them at the door: $50 for VIP early entrance at noon; $40 for general admission. Designated drivers can get a soda and sausage sandwich for $15.
