David Nevins Hosts Dinner to Wine, Dine, Meet and Greet

David Nevins, the Neighborhood Restaurant Group’s culinary director, has a busy schedule next week. On Monday night, April 29, Nevins and chef de cuisine Johnny Burke of Biltmore Bar & Grille are hosting a five-course special dinner of the Paleo diet at the Newton hot spot. The menu includes local greens salad; duck and pistachio sausage; pan-roasted cod; and a housemade Almond Joy (7-9 PM; $65 per person; 617-269-0900).

On Tuesday night, April 30, Nevins will be hosting his own meet-and-greet dinner at Local 149 in the South End. As the new culinary director, he’s going to put on an exclusive Massonino wine dinner, featuring dishes that employ his French technique with Italian influences and Mediterranean style. That four-course meal will include roasted filet of loup di mer and handmade asparagus angolotti. Dine, drink and meet the chef (7-9 PM; $65 per person; 617-269-0900).
