Chris Curren Named Executive Chef of Fifty/50 Restaurant Group

Fifty/50 Restaurant Group has announced the appointment of a new executive chef, Chris Curren, just in time for the reopening (in late May) of its rooftop restaurant Homestead. Curren's background is rooted in fine dining with a resume that includes Blue 13 and Elate in the Hotel Felix. Recently, he shifted his attention to more casual restaurants as the opening chef of Stout Barrelhouse & Galley in River North. His main focus for Fifty/50 will be at Homestead, where he plans to create cuisine utilizing produce grown on the 1,000-square-foot rooftop garden. He will also oversee Fifty/50's other properties, which include The Fifty/50, Roots Handmade Pizza, West Town Bakery & Diner and The Berkshire Room, a new cocktail lounge inside the ACME Hotel (scheduled to open in mid-June with a menu of classic cocktails and elevated bites).
