Birch Coffee is scheduled to open its newest shop on the Upper West Side on April 30, and we noticed an interesting tidbit in the opening materials. The food menu at this location was created by chef Jehangir Mehta, owner of Graffiti and Mehtaphor Downtown.
Of course the coffee will still be the focus (we're not familiar with another shop that offers iced-coffee by the growler), the venue will showcase a menu of tapas and beer pairings created by the chef. Breakfast and lunch items will also be available, and the small plates at night will come complete with beer pairings (there will be eight suds available on draft and 20 in bottles. Not sure if the menu is going to expand to other locations yet, but you can check it out on the UWS when this place opens at 750 Columbus Ave.
