Buy Your Dog a Drink at Harvest Seasonal Grill

Walk by Rittenhouse Square on a sunny day and you’ll see nearly as many canines lounging outside as humans, set up with their own water bowls and cracker plates. Now West Philly dog owners can get in on the friendly action, at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar’s new “Yappy Hour.”

Starting tomorrow, Thursday, April 25, owners can bring their furry ones to the new, 60-seat outdoor patio from 4-7 PM for food and drink specials that also benefit PAWS (the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society). Sip on $3 craft beers, $4 wines and $5 cocktails while munching on $5 flatbreads (get the one with Kennett Square mushrooms).

A dollar from each and every purchase will be donated to the PAWS and Claws Fund, started by Braydon Coburn (of the Philadelphia Flyers) and his wife Nadine. Dogs that come to the happy hour must be on a leash, the restaurant is careful to note, but otherwise are completely welcome. A great cross-species spring activity (215-662-1100).
