Brent Celek of the Eagles Bringing Prime Stache to Old City

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek is a budding restaurateur, with ties to Prime Stache hot dog stand in Wildwood, NJ and 879 Lounge in Old City. Yesterday, Eater broke news that Celek is consolidating his efforts, somewhat, by turning the Chestnut Street sports bar into Prime Stache American Bistro. The relaunch could happen as soon as Monday, April 29.

Though they share a name, the Philly restaurant will not have the same menu as the Jersey Shore shack, which serves 10 franks named after famous moustache-wearing celebrities (the Dali, the Selleck, the Buffalo Bill). Foobooz has the preliminary dinner list for the bistro, and it's much more varied.

Under snacks, both Sriracha wings and pork belly grits caught our attention. Salads, sandwiches (including a Stache burger), pastas and entrees are promised. The official website for the restaurant has links for “lunch,” “dinner,” “cocktails” and “wine,” but none of them are active yet. Stay tuned (110 Chestnut St.).
