Bravo Announces Top Chef Masters Season 5, 2 New Food Reality Shows

Gordon Ramsay's exec producing a new Bravo reality show
Reality show juggernaut Bravo has announced 17 new series and 18 returning series for the coming year (or so) including Top Chef Masters Season 5 (again hosted by Curtis Stone) but with new head critic Gail Simmons. Among the new projects, the rumored Eat, Drink, Love (which is like Sex and the City for LA food industry femmes) will air this summer.

In new projects under development, a new series entitled America's Best Restaurant is also planned, modeled after  the UK's Ramsay's Best Restaurant and Gordon Ramsay will of course exec produce. Here's the premise: "A new food competition series that travels across the country and tackles the food world from a wholly different direction: the restaurants. Sixteen of the nation’s best restaurants, representing all variety of cuisines, will compete against each other on their own turf to find out who truly provides the best all-around, top-to-bottom restaurant experience and deserves to be crowned as America’s Best Restaurant."

Also in development is a new series called High and Low which is an '80s "period drama" with a restaurant-related premise, exec produced by The Sopranos' Michael Imperioli: "This period drama takes us through the worlds of 1980’s art, food, and Wall Street through the eyes of rival brothers, from two different mothers, who open a restaurant together, forcing the two estranged families to finally deal with the years of resentment between them. The show focuses on the lives of the people who work at the restaurant, are discovered at the restaurant and the mysterious woman at the center that tears the brothers apart."
