Boston on Lockdown; All Residents to Stay Inside

Boston has come to a halt this morning due to the manhunt for the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bomb killings, according to news reports. All service on the MBTA has been suspended. Amtrak service between Boston and Providence, R.I. has been temporarily shut down.

Police are telling all residents in Boston to stay inside. Watertown is in lockdown; residents in Belmont, Cambridge, Newton, Allston/Brighton are ordered by the Boston Police to remain indoors. Harvard University, B.U., Boston College, Emerson, MIT, Lasell, Northeastern University, and Bentley are all closed today. Tweets from the Boston University police warn to stay away from Kenmore Square this morning due to police activity.

The National Guard is at the Arsenal Mall in Watertown.

Needless to day, this means restaurants in those areas are closed for now.
