Best Thing We Ate This Week: Savory Tart at Josephine House

Chef Larry McGuire’s cute yet refined lunch-only spot seems like something out of a movie: waiters in perfectly groomed outfits attend to ladies who casually lunch in the refurbished Clarksville house that’s part of the new Jeffrey’s complex (though Jeffrey’s itself is not open quite yet).

Everything we tried here was impeccable, but the savory tart with onion, broccoli greens and sweet potato stood out. Pastry chef Alex Manley’s flaky crust urged us to eat every bite, and the lightly dressed green salad with radicchio added the necessary crunch to the plate.
