Best Thing We Ate Last Night: Kale Salad at Black Market

While most of our visits to Ave A's Black Market are typically motivated by a craving for late-night burgers and oysters, the East Village hotspot also makes a killer kale and quinoa salad (when we're in the mood for something healthier). Kale and quinoa are ingredients that some might argue have jumped the shark in recent years due to oversaturation on restaurant menus. But here they are breathing new life into the tired old combo by adding creamy white beans, pickled serrano chilis and a citrus vinaigrette. Black Market is located at 110 Avenue A and is open LATE.
