Le Grand Fooding Crush Paris-L.A. event, which takes place April 26-27 at MOCA in Little Tokyo, sold out in a flash, but good news: There are still $50 Le Tasty Crush passes available (go here). What will that get you?
Depending on which day, tastes from top LA chefs like Roy Choi, Josef Centeno, Carolynn Spence, Jordan Kahn, Ludovic Lefebvre and Nancy Silverton, and Paris chefs Greg Marchand, Sven Chartier, Jean-Francois Piege and Inaki Aizpitarte; complimentary bubbly, either in grape form (Veuve Clicquot) or water (S.Pellegrino); cheese and dessert; and DJs from both continents spinning music in the "chic temporary urban shelter."
Proceeds from ticket sales, as well as those from T-shirts designed by street artists Shepard Fairey and Andre Saraiva, will go to the LA Food Bank and MOCA. Make sure you pick up a program at the event, if only for the chef illustrations, like piggybackers Centeno and Marchand above.
