A Culinary Makeover: 5 Ways to Improve London's Dining Scene

More of this, please.
What would you change about London restaurants? Don't get us wrong, we're not complaining; in fact, we think London is the culinary capital of the world. But if we're nitpicking, here are five things we would like to see improved. Don't agree? Or you have other suggestions? Let us know in the comment box below.

  1. Thank goodness Zagat is finally voicing a dislike of no-booking policies. Unless a restaurant is large with a high turnover, it is simply discourteous to customers not to take a booking. And I have noticed that several places that started out with a like it or lump it no bookings policy are now very pleased to take reservations in these recessionary times

  2. More Great Street Food out West - YES PLEASE!

  3. Completely agree re. 'no reservations' restaurants. We've stopped going to any; it just isn't worth the hassle/annoyance. Besides, there's hardly a shortage of decent places to eat in London. I'd rather not precede a meal at a restaurant with an hour or so of feeling resentful towards its management.
