Recycling, buying organic, turning off the faucet: all ways we try to be environmentally conscious. But what about when we eat out? Restaurants, as heavy users of water and energy, have an outsized environmental impact - so much so that some establishments now seek to be certified green. Programs are now in place to do so, with more emerging over time. In honor of Earth Day earlier this week, let’s take a look at some of the ways restaurants can become more environmentally friendly.
