5 Cheesy Specials for Grilled Cheese Month

Benny's Chop House's lobster grilled cheese
This month in arbitrary food holidays brings us National Grilled Cheese Month. Sure, why not? We don’t need a holiday to eat grilled cheese, but we will jump at the opportunity to savor deals on gooey sandwiches. Here are five restaurants buttering up the griddles and pilling on the cheese.

Benny’s Chop House
Go gourmet with a grown-up version of a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with lobster, provolone cheese and housemade citrus mayonnaise. It is served on brioche bread for $10.99 (312-626-2444).

Deca Restaurant + Bar
Pay $15 and you'll not only get one of five grilled cheese sandwiches, but also a side of fries. Options include a French Reuben with duck pastrami, Morel mushroom, Monte Cristo or Welsh rarebit with beer-braised pork versions (312-573-5160).

Grahamwich
Delving even deeper into Grilled Cheese Month we discover Grilled Cheese Day on April 12. Order a sandwich made with Wisconsin cheddar, tomato marmalade and cheese curds on a Pullman loaf and get a complimentary small bag of signature popcorn with grated Parmesan, chopped chives, sea salt, cracked pepper and truffle oil (312-265-0434).

Little Market Brasserie
Want grilled cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner? It’s totally doable with the all-day grilled cheese. Order a sandwich and receive a complimentary housemade soda (312-640-8141).

Toni Patisserie and Cafe
If one is going to eat grilled cheese for an entire month, at least keep things fresh with the weekly grilled cheese for $9. This week’s special is a Parmesan, ricotta and provolone sandwich with garlic spinach on pain de mie (312-726-2020).
