Yamashiro Farmers Market Returns to Hollywood in April

One of the more unique farmers markets around LA returns in a few weeks, bringing together food artisans, lasagna cupcakes, Aussie coffee, Pagoda cocktails and great views of the city below. For the fourth year the Yamashiro Farmers Market takes place on the driveway around the iconic Japanese restaurant above Hollywood every Thursday night, beginning April 4. But this really is more than just a "farmers market." While there are a few produce stalls, it's more about grabbing a bite and a drink, listening to some music and watching the sun set. Consider this your new spring and summer happy hour plan (it runs 5-9 PM).

Much like he's done with Asian-inspired tacos, this year Yamashiro chef Brock Kleweno will offer Middle Eastern-meets-Asian stuffed pita sandwiches things like preserved lemon chicken with pistachio-sesame sauce, merquez with shiso tzatziki, and harissa shrimp with cucumber relish. Additional eats come via Heirloom LA, the Flatiron Truck and Coolhaus, with drinks from Longshot Coffee and cocktails, beer and wine from the Pagoda Bar. Entry is free; food and drinks cost anywhere from $5 to $15.
