Whole Foods to Open Health Resort Downtown

Soon Austin will be home not only to two Trader Joe’s and the flagship Whole Foods but also to a Whole Foods spa in the vein of Canyon Ranch. The company is planning to open a “health resort” downtown within three years. From USA Today:
“The health resort idea came from an in-house program to improve eating and lifestyle habits of Whole Foods employees -- focused on weight loss and reduction in blood pressure and cholesterol. ‘I've seen it improve the lives of hundreds of our team members,’ [CEO John] Mackey says.” Mackey plans to have people visit for a day, week or month, depending on their need for 'healthy lifestyle education.'”
Too bad it’s not already open, as it sounds like the perfect detox after a week of SXSW.
