Weekend Planner: Whiskey Dinner and a Boozy Easter Egg Hunt

Whiskey Dinner
Fine food paired with fine scotch, can’t ask for much more. The three-course dinner at Quay incudes tastings of Macallan Single Malt Scotch in 12, 15 and 18 years, paired with prime steak tataki and house smoked salmon. Tickets for tonight’s dinner cost $50 (312-981-8400)

Vodka Class
If vodka is your drink of choice, join Epic's beverage director, Michael Cristiani, for an interactive, vodka-themed cocktail class. He will demonstrate three cocktails while guests dine on select appetizers. Tickets for the class cost $25 (312-222-4940).

Willy Wonka
What’s a movie without some candy? There will be free flowing sweets at a special Easter screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the Music Box Theater. Costumes are encouraged and the Sunday screening starts with a sing-a-long. Tickets cost $12 (773-871-6607).

Egg Hunt
The hunt is afoot; no, we are not talking about the latest menu at Next. We are referring to the third annual whiskey-fueled Easter Egg Hunt at Longman & Eagle. Teams of two can gain entry for $5 and the contest starts at 1 PM on Sunday. RSVP to Elizabeth@longmanandeagle.com.

  1. And to think my idea for Easter dinner was inviting some friends, given them some appetizers and mixing some new recipes in my whiskey still...Now I actually have to think about some good food, too; real food, I mean, like stakes&co. oh well, what we don't do for friends? ;)
