Like setting your clock forward on Sunday morning, the reopening of Thomas Keller’s backyard fried chicken and BBQ shack Addendum is a harbinger of spring. For those aren’t familiar with the unusually down-home offering of The French Laundry's fine-dining impresario, Addendum is a seasonal phenomenon that takes place behind the parking lot of Keller’s family-style restaurant Ad Hoc in Yountville that hawks $16.50 lunch boxes featuring legendary buttermilk fried chicken dinners (typically only available at Ad Hoc on alternating Mondays) or smoked meats, served with sides. Addendum is open Thursday through Saturday for lunch only and wine country diners can simply swing by and chill out over a glass of wine at picnic tables, or place to-go orders of four or more via email. Keep tabs on additional seasonal specials by following Addendum online.
Addendum: 6476 Washington Street, Yountville; 707-944-1565, open Thursday through Saturday from 11 AM- 2 PM
