The San Francisco Chronicle Food and Wine staff has unleashed the names of its
2013 Rising Star Chefs and not surprising, they're all men. We don't find fault in any of their picks:
Mark Pensa (of
Aquerello),
Devin Mc David (pastry chef of
Quince and
Cotogna),
Robin Song (
Hog & Rocks),
Brandon Rodgers (of
Benu) and
Kyle Itani (of
Hopscotch) are all super talented and together represent one of the most ethnically diverse bunch in recent years, but even the Chron itself had to address the question: where are the women chefs? Check out the full Rising Star Chefs spread
