The Best Thing We Ate This Week: Deep-Fried Deviled Eggs at Lucy’s Fried Chicken

Our favorite part of these eggy nuggets at the South Congress "chicken shack" from chef James Holmes is the perfect fried batter that surrounds them. And that’s not to negate the power of the incredible edible insides or the crunchy chicken skin aioli that comes with. We dare you to eat more than one of these heavy treats.

Especially since the rest of the menu at Lucy’s is so delectable. Get some wood-fired oysters, a basket of chicken and some beers to share with friends, and make Momma happy with an order of collard greens and crab-boil potato salad. Also indulge in the down-home pies like sweet tea or sweet potato or the inventively delicious hot chocolate pie, with house-made marshmallows and milk-chocolate custard over a coffee crust.
