The Best Thing We Ate Last Night: Tortellini at Tesori

Our list of favorite things would include drinking on patios, anything with a fried egg on it and fresh pasta. We’re still waiting on those first two this season, but the third was accomplished last night in splendid form at the Tesori fennel dinner. The downtown Italian restaurant boasts a spacious bar and cozy dining room, where each month it offers a prix fixe menu focusing on a single ingredient. This month is fennel with a delicious pasta course. The housemade tortellini was filled with Italian sausage, fennel and mushroom. It was served over a light tomato concasse that had us dreaming of summer and ripe produce. The five-course dinner is available for $65 with an optional wine pairing for $20.
