Vitae, which we haven't visited since it opened over a year ago. There have been a few tweaks to the menu since opening day, and while you're still able to find plenty of elegant, entree-sized options for dinner, it was some of the smaller bites that went best with out post -work libation (their list has some fun options by bartenders at city joints like Dutch Kills and PDT). We loved the sweet chunks of bacon in our risotto, which you can order by the half portion if you're just looking for a quick snack.
Bargoers should also like these veal-meatball sliders. True, everyone and their sister has a slider on the list these days, but these were light, tender and hit the spot in a post-work setting. Maybe start with these and a drink at the bar, and then head back to the dining room (bus on our visit) to dig into some cocoa crusted venison with braised red cabbage. Yes, please.
