The Aviary Gets Into The Beer Game

For the past few years, the team at The Aviary has been working on a pretty special project that has nothing to do with hard liquor. It’s a project involving beer - beer that compliments and incorporates food. We saw a video about one of their special collaboration brews, a cornhusk porter made with Evil Twin Brewing. Turns out that beer is not alone. It is one of ten brewed exclusively for that Aviary with the Danish brewer. The beers have been sitting in barrels for the past year. Not just any barrels, barrels that held some of the most rare spirits in the world such as Elijah Craig 12-year and Casa Noble Extra Anejo. Each dons the names one through ten. If you want to be the first to try these beers, it’s probably too late. Yesterday, they offered 100 tickets to an exclusive tasting via its Facebook page. The taking takes place on Tuesday and tickets cost $95. However, after the tasting, the beers will be available at The Aviary. Guess its not just a cocktail destination anymore.
