The American Invasion: U.S. Restaurant Openings in London

We've always had a "special" relationship with our American cousins, but with three New York restaurants open in London in the last three months (and plenty more on the way) it seems that these days we are more like BFF's who share everything. Click on the slide show below for the latest Stateside restaurants to arrive in the U.K.

  1. Nothing wrong with American restaurants opening up in London and worldwide. We think it offers Americans a bit "home" if they're traveling or working abroad. American restaurants in Bangkok fare quite well: http://youtu.be/ADtWIM7IvEs

    1. As long as they're not importing more fast food joints. Americans class McDonalds as a restaurant. With no table service, the rest of the world does not.

  3. Weird! I always thought the "brasserie" was French, not American. Have been to the one mentioned in this article, and its definately something that originated in Paris.

Have yet to see any restaurant that is authentically American, other than fast food premises. They have no real culture of their own, apart from that of the indigenous so-called "Native Americans".
