Stateside a classy 30 days notice that he was leaving the executive post, but the month zipped by and today is his last day. The East Passyunk kitchen has just named Elijah Milligan as his replacement. Milligan was most recently working as sous under David Ansil at Bar Ferdinand, but has an impressive amount of experience under his belt, especially considering he’s only 24 years old.
Milligan previously spent time in the kitchen of Le Bec Fin with George Perrier, and also helped open Vernick Food and Drink. According to Stateside’s proprietors, the young toque is looking to extend Sabatino’s winning legacy, but also believes there’s always room to improve. How will he do that? Stay tuned.
