Should Restaurants Take a Break After SXSW?

After the hustle and bustle of SXSW, Austin restaurants have had enough. We tried to eat at a number of brick-and-mortar places and trailers yesterday, and so did our friends. But many locales are closed until Wednesday. For example, Counter Culture posted on Facebook,

“Thanks to EVERYONE that came out during SXSW week. We are going home and collapsing now. See you on Wednesday!” 

We’ve seen raised food prices, limited menus and now closed doors but also an incredible spike in traffic (read: dollars) and a huge spotlight on our city.
