Floating hotels. Finnish architecture firm Sigge Architects recently met with officials in Qatar to discuss the potential for aquatic accommodations ahead of the 2022 World Cup. The swooping, glass-wrapped structures could have their own power generation, recycling and sewage treatment onsite. And, should the owner choose, the entire hotel can be relocated to a different destination. We think this concept holds real potential, especially for creating hotels in remote areas that might lack power and sewage infrastructure. Where would you like to see a floating hotel?
