The Prohibition theme has come out for a last hurrah at the new Flour and Vine restaurant opening on South Lamar in the old Hugo’s Restaurant Y Tequila Bar space. Servers and bar staff will wear flapper dresses and vintage-style bathing suits, and “"live performances by our service team … will serenade and serve the crowd."
Eater Austin has the story on the restaurant, which will also feature $49 wine-tasting classes. Chef Tony Clevenger of Hugo’s has stayed on to develop a radically different menu full of comfort food with a twist. Opening hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 5 PM - 10 PM, with the bar staying open until midnight Thursday through Saturday.

I was there for a soft opening and I have to say it was really good. The food was simple and delicious but the atmosphere was perfect for a date
ReplyDeleteI stopped in for a drink to check this place out. The pork sliders were great, although maybe a buck overpriced at $7 for two. Other than that, the place was great. You can tell they're trying to create a classic 20s atmosphere. Perfect place for a date or a drink with a friend
