We're seeing some lovely photos of dishes coming out of the Paiche camp, Ricardo Zarate's new Peruvian izakaya in Marina del Rey. The restaurant hosted a few Food & Wine Best New Chef alums this week, which was one way to check out the digs and menu before the restaurant debuted. But if you thought you were bummed to miss those opportunities, here's even more bad news: the Paiche opening has been pushed back to April 12, according to Eater (Zarate has a family emergency that he has to tend to). That's 10 extra days. We might have to politely ask co-owner Stephane Bombet to stop Tweeting delicious photos like this grilled tacu tacu, like a crispy rice, topped with spicy tuna and serrano chili so we don't go absolutely bonkers with the wait.
