Pebble Beach Food & Wine Gets Going Next Week, Tickets Still Available

Get ready for Pebble Beach Food & Wine 
Next weekend, the golf-centric community of Pebble Beach on the Monterey Peninsula will become overrun with foodies more interested in Iron Chef than iron shots. The 7th annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine extravaganza gets underway April 4-7 and while a few of the exclusive VIP events are already sold out, there are still tickets available for many of the signature events including an interactive lunch with Anne Burrell, a cooking demo with Guy Fieri and walk-around food tastings prepared by America’s most famous celebrity chefs - among them, Masharu Morimoto, Daniel Boulud, Frances Payard and Geoffrey Zakarian repping the East Coast and Chris Kostow, Tyler Florence, Roland Passot and Matthew Accarino repping the West Coast.

Our picks for the festival include the opening night reception, a screening of the documentary Somm, the tribute dinner for Cecilia Chang and the Grand Tastings held on Saturday and Sunday that will showcase more than 50 chefs and hundreds of wines. Locals looking to cheer on Bay Area talent should get tickets for the Battle of the Chefs: West Coast featuring Lincoln Carlson (Restaurant Michael Mina), Dominque Crenn (Atelier Crenn), Tyler Florence (Wayfare Tavern), Thomas McNaughton (Flour + Water) and Nancy Oakes (Boulevard) who'll try to outcook their East Coast counterparts.
